Tenure-track Junior Professor Positions (CPJ)

Tenure-track junior professor positions (chaires de professeur junior, CPJ) were implemented by the French loi de programmation de la recherche (LPR). Through these contracts, successful candidates can be awarded tenure as professors or research directors after a 3 to 6 year-period.

These recruitments are governed by the following regulatory text: loi n° 2020-1674 du 24 décembre 2020 de programmation de la recherche pour les années 2021 à 2030 et portant diverses dispositions relatives à la recherche et à l'enseignement supérieur.

2026 Recruitment Campaign Timeline

24 July 2026: Applications open on Odyssée - 10:00am (Paris time)
3 September 2026: Application deadline on Odyssée - 4:00pm (Paris time)
From 14 September to 12 October: Selection commissions' meetings
From 19 October onwards: Results
December 2026: Start of contract

> Analytical presentation (please use the mandatory Application form)
> Copy of passport (or ID for EU nationals)
> Copy of diploma
> PhD defense report
>Copy of published papers (up to 6 documents)
