About the organization

The UFR LLASIC is a multidisciplinary faculty made up of seven departments. Its main mission is teaching and research. Indeed, it contributes to the development of research through the activities of its laboratories. It prepares students for exams and competitive entrance examinations, and, through the courses provided to students at the INSPÉ (National Higher Institute for Teaching and Education), it also contributes to teacher training.

Established in 2016, the Litt&Arts research unit brings together around 70 academic staff, an equal number of PhD students in Literature and Performing Arts, and a CNRS researcher, supported by a team of four digital humanities engineers (ELAN) and five administrative staff. The ‘&’ symbolises the unit’s academic ambition: to foster fruitful cross-fertilisation between literary studies and the performing and screen arts.
