About the organization

The PhITEM Department (Physics, Engineering, Earth Sciences, Environment, Mechanics) is a unit of Université Grenoble Alpes, bringing together approximately 2,500 students and 200 faculty members. The Grenoble Institute of Neurosciences (GIN, Inserm/UGA) is a multidisciplinary research center hosting 250 researchers across 12 teams. The ADMIR team develops innovative X-ray radiotherapy methods for the treatment of brain tumors.

Your mission

You will contribute to teaching in medical physics and radiation protection at PhITEM Department, from undergraduate to master's level (192 hours of tutorial teaching), while conducting research in medical physics within the ADMIR team at GIN, focusing on medical applications of X-ray radiation.

 

Main activities

To carry out this tasks successfully, you will need to:

  • Teach general physics in undergraduate programmes at PhITEM Department
  • Teach ionizing radiation detection, dosimetry and data analysis in the M2 PMRHE master's programme
  • Supervise master's student projects and internships
  • Conduct research in medical physics applied to radiotherapy of brain pathologies, in line with one or more ADMIR scientific axes
  • Contribute to the team's scientific output (publications, communications)
  • Participate in the collective life of PhITEM Department and GIN.

Preferred qualifications

The following skills are expected:

  • PhD in physics, medical physics or a related field
  • Strong background in ionizing radiation physics, dosimetry and/or instrumentation
  • Research experience demonstrated by international publications
  • Ability to teach general physics at all undergraduate levels
  • Pedagogical ease with a diverse audience (initial and continuing education, physics and health science backgrounds)
  • French language proficiency (M2 PMRHE courses are taught in French)
  • Ability to work within a multidisciplinary team
  • Interest in preclinical or clinical research appreciated

Salary

Starting at €2194 gross per month, depending on experience.
In addition to your salary, you will receive a monthly allowance of €105 gros
