About the organization

UFR Arts et Sciences humaines (ARSH) comprises a department of History, History of Art and Archaeology, Philosophy, Musicology and Social Geography, as well as an English language teaching office. UFR ARSH prepares students for 5 bachelor's degrees (History, Art History and Archaeology, Philosophy, Musicology, Applied Human Sciences) and 3 master's degrees (History, Art History and Archaeology, Philosophy). The teaching team is made up of around sixty full professors and research professors attached to four laboratories (LUHCIE, LARHRA, IPhiG, PACTE).

Your mission

Your main role will be to teach on the Bachelor’s degree programmes in History and Applied Humanities, as well as on the Master’s degree programme in History. You will be expected to conduct research in medieval history, in line with the LUHCIE laboratory’s research priorities.

Main activities

You will have to:

  • Teach medieval history in lectures and tutorials, from the first year of undergraduate study through to the Master’s degree.
  • Introduce students to the sources and methods used by medieval historians.
  • Conduct research in medieval history within a field aligned with LUHCIE’s research priorities.
  • Contribute to the collective life of the department and the laboratory.

Preferred qualifications

You are expected to possess the following skills:

  • Historical methodology,
  • Proficiency in academic tasks (essays, document analysis, etc.),
  • Teaching skills,
  • Analysis of primary sources.

Salary

Starting at €1579 gross per month, depending on experience.
In addition to your salary, you will receive a monthly allowance of €52.50 gros
