IUT2 offers the University Bachelor of Technology (BUT), a recently introduced three-year undergraduate degree that confers the academic level of a bachelor's degree. Each program includes specialized pathways with a strong vocational orientation, allowing students to progressively acquire advanced knowledge and professional competencies throughout their studies.

Pacte is a mixed research unit (UMR-5194) specializing in the social sciences. It is affiliated to France’s National Centre for Scientific Research (CNRS), Université Grenoble Alpes (UGA) and Sciences Po Grenoble, School of Political Studies, Université Grenoble Alpes.

Pacte brings together political scientists, geographers, planners and sociologists doing research at Grenoble. The team also includes several economists, lawyers and historians. In all the research unit comprises 120 permanent researchers and faculty members, 25 engineers and technicians and 150 PhD students.

Your mission

You will teach at IUT2 and carry out your research activities at Pacte laboratory.

Within the Social Careers department of IUT2 Grenoble, and with a statutory service of 192 hours per year, particularly for the field of social workers, you will provide in-person instruction in the sociology of mediation and social participation, namely:

Analysis of public policies, roles and places of actors in public intervention,

Analysis of social intervention practices, mediation conflicts,

Design and conduct of actions in contexts of vulnerability and/or conflict with audiences in situations of fragility, dependence, disability, and support needs,

Methodology of research in the humanities and social sciences.

 

 

Main activities

In this context, you will also be expected to:

  • Monitor and supervise student internships, and support students in the development of their professional and career plans.
  • Participate in the assessment and certification processes for the State diplomas delivered in partnership with the department.
  • Contribute to the department’s academic and pedagogical activities, including faculty meetings, partnership meetings, and Open Days.
  • Serve on assessment panels for internship reports, dissertations, and Situations d’Apprentissage et d’Évaluation (SAE) projects.
  • Participate in examination and degree-awarding committees.

You will join Pacte, a social sciences laboratory in Grenoble.

Preferred qualifications

Applicants should demonstrate the following qualifications and skills :

  • Excellent command of French, both written and spoken.
  • Ability to work independently in the preparation and delivery of assigned courses, while ensuring compliance with the expected learning outcomes and assessment requirements.
  • Ability to apply and adhere to established assessment and grading procedures.
  • Teaching experience in higher education (experience in a University Institute of Technology (IUT) would be an asset).
  • Knowledge of the French State qualifications in social work and related professions.
  • Ability to develop and maintain professional networks.
  • Strong teamwork and collaborative skills.

Salary

Starting at €2194 gross per month, depending on experience.
In addition to your salary, you will receive a monthly allowance of €105 gros
