About the organization

Teaching will take place within the PhITEM department (UFR) at Université Grenoble Alpes.

Our department brings together the university's core expertise in the following disciplines: EEA (Electronics, Electrical Energy, and Automatic Control), Civil Engineering, Mechanics, Physics, and Earth and Environmental Sciences.

Research will be conducted at the 3SR Laboratory, in connection with civil engineering and the teaching profile.

Your mission

You will contribute to Civil Engineering teaching activities within the PhITEM department, from bachelor's to master's level, corresponding to a teaching load of 176 tutorial-equivalent hours. In parallel, you will conduct research activities in Civil Engineering within the 3SR Laboratory.

Main activities

  • You will be responsible for teaching in the following areas: introduction to civil engineering (first-year Bachelor’s level), computer-aided design and digital modeling (CAD, Revit), structural analysis and strength of materials, and the organization of construction site visits. Teaching duties will include lectures, tutorials (TD), practical sessions (TP).
  • You will participate in supervising first-year Master’s projects and monitoring internships (Bachelor’s and Master’s levels).
  • Research activities may focus on experimentation and/or modeling—at both the material and structural scales—potentially addressing extreme loading conditions, coupled thermo-hydro-mechanical phenomena, multi-scale analysis, and/or utilizing advanced imaging techniques.
  • You will be expected to integrate into the research activities of the 3SR laboratory, ideally in areas related to civil engineering and their teaching profile.

Preferred qualifications

You are expected to possess the following skills :

  • An initial background in civil engineering, technical expertise in the field, and a degree of versatility will be valued assets for delivering the required teaching.
  • Research experience in civil engineering related to the research themes pursued at the 3SR laboratory.

Salary

Starting at €2194 gross per month, depending on experience.
In addition to your salary, you will receive a monthly allowance of €105 gros
