With more than 1,400 students, the department offers initial and continuing training in linguistics, French as a foreign language and language teaching, from undergraduate to doctoral level. In order to ensure the best possible management of its missions, the Department of Linguistics and French as a Foreign Language is divided into two sections: Linguistics and French as a Foreign Language.

In terms of teaching, you will be required to teach both face-to-face and distance learning courses in the Didactics of French as a Foreign Language section. 
In terms of research, you will be attached to the LIDILEM laboratory and your role will be to participate in the work of Axis 2: Didactics of Languages.

• Participation in distance learning in the field of teaching French as a foreign language, tutor and marker for the DU FLE (Diplôme d'Université français langue étrangère) and M1 DDL FLES (Master's Degree in Teaching French as a Foreign and Second Language, first year) courses.
• Running discussion forums, in particular for courses: approaches to literature in the teaching of FLE (DU FLE), didactics of the lexicon (M1 DDL FLES course).
• Carrying out assessment tasks (training tasks, examination papers) for courses on the didactics of the lexicon and phonetics and prosody in the FLE classroom. 
  Supervising and participating in the assessment of observation dissertations in the M1 DDL FLES course on linguistic skills.
• Supervising dissertations in the second year of the Masters course, both face-to-face and via distance learning, particularly in phonetics and assessment.
• Teaching requirements: in Master DDL FLES course on the themes of class observation dissertation methodology in Master 1, dissertation methodology in Master 2; scientific writing; oral presentation of research work; didactics of plurilingualism; didactics of the lexicon, evaluation; and in undergraduate courses on linguistics and didactics.
• Teaching FLE and training teachers at the Centre universitaire d'études françaises (CUEF) in Grenoble, in the framework of the FIFLE (Formation d'initiation à l'enseignement du FLE) course on the introduction to linguistics.
• Contributing to the research of LIDILEM's Axis 2: Didactics of languages.

• Experience in teaching French as a foreign and second language (FLES) and the didactics of FLES
• Know how to speak in front of an audience of learners
• Know how to use equipment and tools for teaching purposes
